Covenant Christian School (CCS) operates as an independent school governed by board members who possess a heart for Christian education. Members also have experience in the areas of business, education, and/or the pastorate. The board follows the Carver Model of governance.
Robert A. Mack
Bob has been a follower of Jesus for 46 years. He is very happily married to Holly with many children, grandchildren, and now great grandchildren. Bob is cleverly disguised as a chemist as he continues to pursue God. His family was one of the early founding families of CCS , and they continue to carry a burden to help parents raise, prepare and disciple Godly children in His will and ways.
Reuben Arulanandam is married to Evangeline, and they have a daughter, Reueline Stuthi. They make their home in Montgomery, IL. He is currently working with AC Nielsen as the Lead for Advanced Solutions Delivery. Reuben is an experienced IT professional with eight years of software development and twelve years of Corporate and Government Sales and Marketing background. After his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Reuben received his second undergraduate degree from Moody Bible Institute in Pastoral Studies. After working with InterVarsity Press in their IT department, Reuben served within the IT consulting marketplace for twelve years in various roles including as the Director of Business Development for a major Microsoft National Systems Integrator. He has won many accolades from Microsoft and was one of the leading Microsoft Partner Account Executives within the Microsoft Government ecosystem. Reuben is passionate about not-for-profits, the street children of India, the poor, and the oppressed. Reuben enjoys strategic planning, complex sales & marketing, public speaking, and music.
Annie is a child of God, a happy servant of Jesus Christ and a Covenant Christian alum. She is married to Solomon Baddoo and has served in the field of education for 16 years as a teacher, school administrator, and district administrator. She is grateful for the opportunity to support Christian families as they raise their children to be followers of Jesus Christ.
Kathy Brothers has been married to her husband Jack for 26 years. They have 5 children, four of whom are graduates of Covenant Christian School. Kathy believes Covenant was instrumental in helping guide their children’s character and Christian worldviews. Kathy currently serves as a Real Estate Broker with RE/MAX Excels. Prior to this she was Director of Marketing and Communications at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
Huntley is an international concert pianist/pastor who travels worldwide spreading the gospel through music. He is one of the pianists with the Billy Graham Association and the artist in residence at Judson University. He is married to Annette and they reside in Aurora with their four daughters.
Pete is a graduate of Covenant Christian School, attending in the 5-8th grade. He graduated from Aurora Christian and received a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University. He has held various positions in manufacturing organizations across Supply Chain, Sales and Executive Leadership. Currently Pete leads a global packaging equipment machinery business located in Romeoville and lives in Yorkville with his wife Michelle, and 4 amazing children.

John came to Christ right before he entered 6th grade. That year, his mother became the first ever pre-school teacher at CCS. He felt the Lord call him to start going to CCS in 7th grade, and completed his junior high education at CCS. John graduated from Aurora Christian High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from DePaul University College of Law. He is currently an attorney in Aurora. He developed many close relationships at CCS and learned from many godly teachers. He is excited to be back at CCS as a board member, and he is excited to see that the school has a staff and student body committed to serving and following the Lord.
Barb earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. Barb has held many positions as an elementary educator and is currently an Assessment Specialist for Indian Prairie School District 204 that serves students in Aurora, Plainfield, Bolingbrook and Naperville. She is married to Terry and has three adult children, Riley, Tyler and Sadie.
