Meet the School Board

Covenant Christian School (CCS) operates as an independent school governed by board members who possess a heart for Christian education. Members also have experience in the areas of business, education, and/or the pastorate. The board follows the Carver Model of governance.


Robert A. Mack,
Board President

Bob has been a follower of Jesus for 46 years. He is very happily married to Holly with many children, grandchildren, and now great grandchildren. Bob is cleverly disguised as a chemist as he continues to pursue God. His family was one of the early founding families of CCS , and they continue to carry a burden to help parents raise, prepare and disciple Godly children in His will and ways.

Annie Baddoo,
Board Member

Annie is a child of God, a happy servant of Jesus Christ and a Covenant Christian alum. She is married to Solomon Baddoo and has served in the field of education for 16 years as a teacher, school administrator, and district administrator. She is grateful for the opportunity to support Christian families as they raise their children to be followers of Jesus Christ.


Huntley Brown,
Board Member

Huntley is an international concert pianist/pastor who travels worldwide spreading the gospel through music. He is one of the pianists with the Billy Graham Association and the artist in residence at Judson University. He is married to Annette and they reside in Aurora with their four daughters.


John Childress,
Board Member

John has served the Lord and others for many years. He is an ordained deacon and has served at New Community Baptist Church for the past 14 years. John has been a board member at CCS for 3 years and has been a parent here for 7. He is married to Pamela.


Dan Haas,
Board Member

Dan Haas is a lifelong resident of Aurora, Illinois and has committed to serving this community for the advance of the Kingdom of God.  He has served on many local Not for Profit Boards and has been instrumental in forming Covenant Christian School, Aurora Community Church, Aurora Cares and A Future and A Hope Foundation.  His passion is to see another Great Awakening sweep this nation and for Aurora to be the starting place.  Dan and Gayle have been married for over 40 years, have two daughters Emily and Elaine (both CCS graduates), two son-in-laws and two grandsons all of whom they deeply love.

Gary Koesler

Gary Koesler,
Board Member

Gary came to know the Lord at age 11 and has been on the path of getting to know Him since that day. Gary went to college in Dallas at Berean Life Corps and also went to Liberty Bible College in Pensacola, Florida. He did outreach work in the USA and abroad in Asia, Europe and Mexico. Gary met his wife, Naomi in Sri Lanka at age 24. They have 6 children. Gary is a pastor/elder at Hope Fellowship Church in Aurora and he is the owner of Koesler’s Exterminating.

John Leopold

John Leopold,
Board Member

John is the Service Manager for K Systems Corp.  John’s wife Charie currently serves at CCS as Communication/Marketing/Fundraising/Event Coordinator. They have four children, one who is a student of CCS, and nine grandchildren.

Glenn Mueller,
Board Member

Glenn came to know the Lord at the age of 6. He is married to Cornelia and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He invests in real estate as a profession but his greatest joy is investing in the heards and lives of children and adults, seeing them come to Christ, and growing in their faith and love of Him.

John Neuenkirchen

John Neuenkirchen,
Board Member

John came to Christ right before he entered 6th grade. That year, his mother became the first ever pre-school teacher at CCS. He felt the Lord call him to start going to CCS in 7th grade, and completed his junior high education at CCS. John graduated from Aurora Christian High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from DePaul University College of Law. He is currently an attorney in Aurora. He developed many close relationships at CCS and learned from many godly teachers. He is excited to be back at CCS as a board member, and he is excited to see that the school has a staff and student body committed to serving and following the Lord.
